100% Corriedale yarn - natural cream

$16.00

80 yard skeins of 100% natural color cream Corriedale wool yarn from my flock, and mill-processed at Von Strohm Woolen Mill in South Bloomfield, OH. This is a 2-ply worsted-weight yarn (8 wpi by my measuring) that has some thicker sections (please see pictures for examples of the thicker bits). It knits up beautifully - soft and durable. I've made several beanie-style hats (picture included) and they are very comfortable and warm. It does felt some in the washing. Cool water recommended, or hand wash.

I also have dyed some of this yarn (can be seen in my other listings) with Greener Shades acid dyes, and it takes the dye beautifully!

This yarn came back from the mill with the spinning oil still on, so I washed the yarn in warm water with Unicorn Power Scour, rinsed, then air dried. Yarn was skeined after this process. There is also a little bit of VM in this yarn, but as I was knitting with it, it was very easy to pick out with no damage to the yarn itself.

**Please be aware of the coloring of these skeins - I took all of the Corriedale to the mill at the same time, but one cone came back creamier in color, and the other one was whiter in color. The creamier yarn is about half the ounce weight as the whiter yarn, and have more thick sections (see pictures). They are all worsted weight, however. I have knit with both colorings of yarn and it is still sturdy, even with more of the thick sections.**

**LOOKING AT THE LAST PICTURE,THIS LISTING IS FOR THE SKEIN COLORING ON THE RIGHT (THE CREAMIER COLOR). If you would like a whiter color, there is a separate listing for the yarn on the left.**

Pricing is per skein. Skeins are 80 yards, and range between 2.1 and 2.8 ounces due to the mill-spinning process.
